Artist's Description
Daybreak dawns at Diamond Head during a dramatic drenching downpour, as delightful dolphins dive and dip in a delirious dervish dance in the depths. A distant daring diver descends dreamily downward, as docile damselfish dart daintily in the dark. Dazzling and delicate dragonflies and dainty dewdrops dapple the dragon tree and Dissotis. A delicious daydream of deja vu.
About Kim McClinton
Thank you for finding my work! The subjects I choose to paint are frequently inspired by nature and imagining my place in the universe. I have a fondness for the ease of acrylics, but also work with colored pencils, watercolor, oils, and just about any medium I can get my hands on (I think I might be a hoarder of art supplies). Born in Southern California, raised in the mountains of Northern Utah, I have lived much of my adult life in the desert solitude near Palm Springs (with a brief 2-year fling in the tropics of Hawaii). I have enjoyed the beauty, tranquility, and lush environment of all these areas. As an avid hiker and camper, I find the deserts, mountains and ocean beaches to be some of my favorite places.
