Description
An eagle flies near Delicate Arch in Arches National Park.
As a geology major in Utah, I spent a lot of time exploring the desert canyon country of Southern Utah. I don’t know of a more spectacular landscape than the area around Delicate Arch. The red and gold sandstone was carved by eons of wind and water to create this massive majestic sculpture. The land drops away on all sides to showcase this natural wonder.
This is probably my oldest painting in my portfolio, completed during my years scouting the canyon country.
