Description
This image evokes quiet solitude and peace: the distant horizon, the rush of water around ankles, the call of sea birds.
When my daughter went away to college at Humboldt State on the Northern California coast, it was hard to see her leave. But it gave me an excuse to visit a stunning region of the country. On my visits, she would take me on hikes through redwood forests and walks on desolate beaches. Grateful.

This is a stunning painting. The figures size is indicated by the rocks: a interesting way to show distance! The bird is a nice touch and the soft colors are beautiful!
