The White Ghost Cicada’s angelic wings are transparent toward the tips, becoming more translucent and an opaque white with touches of turquoise closer to the body. Its wingspan is approximately 5 inches. The type species, Ayuthia spectabile, is commonly known as the Milky Cicada, the White Cicada, or the White Ghost Cicada. It is found in Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Thank you for finding my work! The subjects I choose to paint are frequently inspired by nature and imagining my place in the universe. I have a fondness for the ease of acrylics, but also work with colored pencils, watercolor, oils, and just about any medium I can get my hands on (I think I might be a hoarder of art supplies).
