Title
The Forest for the Trees
Artist
Kim McClinton
Medium
Painting - Watercolor And Pencil On Paper
Description
A deer hides in the layered shadows of trees. This started as an experimental piece on depth, shifting color and size. It starts with the warmer yellow-green foreground and moves into the shade of turquoise and indigo blue. Because the eye is pulled through the trees, I felt it needed something to be led towards, resulting in the illusive image of the deer.

What a marvelous, gentle canopy of trees, and I like how they recede into the blue background.

Thank you very much, Kim. This is a spectacular landscape. The color scheme really works. To me, it gives the impression that there is no end to the forest; it is is going on forever.
